Burkina Faso Bobo tribe in West Africa have Bobo African Shield used during war by warriors and as a ceremonial shield.

These hand-carved sheilds are also for agricultural ceremonies to promote a healthy harvest that will surely make a perfect statement in your home!

A very unique art object, this mask made of solid wood, which comes from the Bobo tribe who are farmers from eastern Burkina Faso. This artful mask is a perfect accent to any existing decor for any home. Small cracks, discoloration, etc are a normal part of the ageing process and add to the character of each item.

The masks' designs is used to draw people's attention. When worn on night performances around a fire, the effect is quite dramatic. The wearer holds the handle at the bottom of each mask during the ceremony.

Comes with a wall fitting for easy hanging.
