Our authentic Traditional Malawian Satellite chairs are handmade using rattan strips, which are woven into intricate patterns along the sides of the chairs and the seat. Each chair is unique and one of a kind. The chairs are very durable.

Suitable for both indoors and outdoor covered area; do not allow to the chair to get wet be placed in humid conditions.

Care Instructions

To maintain the natural beauty and Eco-friendliness of your rattan furniture, it's important to follow some simple care instructions. Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight or damp areas as this can cause damage or discoloration. It is recommended that you display your cane furniture indoors or on an undercover/enclosed patio where possible. To keep it clean, use a soft brush, cloth or gentle vacuum rather than harsh chemicals which may weaken the fibers. Over time cane and the bamboo sticks can discolour and this is considered normal. We suggest using a matt water-based wood sealer with UV and water protection and typically need to be recoated every one - two years or so depending on the conditions.
