he Zulu Bead Lapwing, also known locally as a Kiewiet, is a beautifully handmade bird sculpture crafted from wire and detailed Czech glass beadwork. Its black-and-white patterning and delicate shape make it a charming decorative piece with a distinctly African feel.

Each bird is handmade by rural Zulu women artisans as part of a community craft project. The project helps create income opportunities for women, many of whom are sole breadwinners.
